Just back from an awesome trip to Truk Lagoon in Micronesia – will be posting some more new videos, but for starters, here’s a short video of a dive on a relatively intact Aichi E13A IJN seaplane – Allied reporting codename JAKE. The Allies allocated simplified codenames to all Japanese military aircraft, so eg., the Mitsubishi G4M medium bomber is just reported as a BETTY bomber, the Kawanishi H8K Navy flying boat just appears in contact reports as an EMILY – and so on.
